For the successful installation of floors over underfloor heating, the grooved channels and heating pipes must be clean.

Remove dust and dirt with the WOLFF VACUCLEAN 2industrial vacuum cleaner. This powerful vacuum effectively cleans the substrate, ensuring a strong bond for the next layers.

Apply an even coat of UZIN PE 360 PLUS using a nylon roller. Avoid puddling. The moisture-resistant primer reduces substrate absorbency and ensures uniform adhesion.

Install UZIN Edge Insulation Strips B along the bottom of walls. This prevents noise from being transmitted through the walls or floor.

Use UZIN NC 182 repair mortar to cover the pipes. UZIN NC 182 repair mortar is quick-drying and low-stress, ensuring the heating pipes are fully embedded in the screed.

Repeat the priming step using UZIN PE 360 PLUS to ensure proper adhesion of the subsequent smoothing compound coat and to protect the substrate from residual moisture.

Lay UZIN RR 201 fibreglass reinforcement fleece evenly, with a 1 cm overlap, across the area. The fleece is crack-bridging and absorbs vibrations and expansions, accommodating any arising forces to prevent cracks in the smoothing compound.

Apply the UZIN NC 196 smoothing compound over the entire surface. UZIN RR 201 must be covered with a minimum of 5 mm of smoothing compound. Alternatively, UZIN NC 151 or UZIN NC 570 smoothing compounds can be used.

Once the smoothing compound has fully dried, you can install your chosen floor covering, such as wood, vinyl, LVT or carpet. The system provides a solid foundation for underfloor heating, ensuring effective, efficient heat distribution over time.

Certain underfloor heating systems allow for channels to be grooved into an existing screed, enabling the placement of heating pipes without the need for a thick additional layer of screed. With the UZIN Renoplan system, these grooved channels are filled, after which a smoothing compound such as UZIN NC 196 is applied, along with UZIN RR 201 fleece. This creates a highly durable, low-profile underfloor heating system that is ideal for situations where height is limited.
A specialist underfloor heating company begins by cutting precise grooves into the existing screed. They then lay the heating pipes into these channels. Next, they use products from the UZIN Renoplan® system to securely embed the pipes, reinforce weak areas, and smooth the surface, making it ready for the final floor installation.
The installed underfloor heating pipes are first placed into the channels and then embedded with UZIN NC 182 repair mortar. This quick-drying, low-stress mortar is specifically designed for filling grooves and cavities. When used with appropriate UZIN smoothing compounds such as UZIN NC 196, this reinforcement absorbs movement from the heated screed, reducing the risk of cracks appearing in the floor covering.
Once the UZIN system has fully cured and the underfloor heating is properly commissioned, you can install a variety of floor coverings, including wood, vinyl, LVT, laminate, or carpet. It's essential that the selected covering is approved for use with underfloor heating and adheres to UZIN's product and installation guidelines.
When refurbishing areas with underfloor heating in existing screeds, it's important to use the UZIN Renoplan® underfloor heating system. Start by cleaning the substrate and applying a UZIN PE 360 PLUS primer. Next, fill any grooves and embed the pipes using UZIN NC 182 repair mortar. To reinforce, apply UZIN RR 201 fleece, then smooth the surface with a fibre-reinforced compound like UZIN NC 196.
