What do you most like about the flooring industry?

The people, I have been in the flooring industry for over 37 years and met many people I now consider to be friends. 

If money was no object what car would you buy?

Audi RS6 Avant, tuned by ABT – 5 seats, dogs in the back and super car performance, it’s a “sleeper” as well!

What hobbies do you have?

Walking, camping in the Motorhome, (I don’t do tents) seeing this beautiful island which has so much to offer, reading, and my love of Manchester United, which is currently very painful!!

Do you have any pets?

I have 2 Staffordshire Bull terriers, amazingly loyal, loving, friendly family pets, absolutely the best dogs on the planet.

Which one record would you take onto a desert island?

This is difficult, so many classic songs, but if I had to choose just one to listen to forever, it would be Lynyrd Skynrd’s Free Bird – the album version is over 9 minutes long and one of the best guitar solos ever!

Where is the best place you’ve ever been to?

China, I was lucky enough to go there for an international technician’s meeting and got to visit the Great Wall of China, Beijing, Shanghai and rode on a bullet train at 450kmh!! put Network Rail to shame!

What’s the best film you’ve ever seen?

Shawshank Redemption, must have watched it over 20 times and would still watch it again.

Name 3 people who would make up your ideal dinner party?

George Best, Bradley Walsh and Ally McCoist, your face would be hurting after 5 minutes!

What major event in the world would you like to attend?

The World Cup Final at Wembley with England winning it, not very likely on all 3 counts!

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Travelled to Bamako in Mali, for work, my contact didn’t turn up and I somehow managed to find myself in an unlicensed taxi from the airport with holes in the floor of the car with 4 guys from Mali who jumped in, just as I got in. I thought it was game over, but they took me to the Hotel and were amazing people. Needless to say, the agent who didn’t meet me at the airport got his ears chewed off the following morning.
