Uzin Utz Staff volunteer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
Uzin Utz UK has supported and helped fundraise for the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) Charity since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. On the 24th of October 2023, staff from Uzin Utz UK volunteered to help in the Faith Centre Garden, a calm and peaceful enclave for both staff and patients to relax and recuperate. The flower beds had become overgrown with weeds, so the volunteers helped tidy up the beds and planted bulbs for the spring. The flowers will add beauty and a colourful ambience to the garden with white-tipped, yellow tulips, blue Scilla and deep blue Muscari blooms. One of the volunteers, Daniel Leeson, Uzin Utz UK Marketing Manager, said “The team had great fun gardening whilst supporting a great cause. The Faith Centre Garden has a tranquil atmosphere and we are excited to see how the flowers have grown in the spring”. Matthew Brown, Managing Director for Uzin Utz UK, said “Great work, Uzin Utz UK team. I am very proud of your contribution to help a worthwhile cause.”
UHCW Charity Director, Jo O’Sullivan said, “We are so grateful to our wonderful corporate supporters, Uzin Utz for giving up their time and volunteering in the Faith Centre Garden at University Hospital Coventry. The awesome team of gardeners did a fantastic job tidying up the flower beds and planting some bulbs for the spring. The Faith Centre Garden is a well-used space for both staff and patients, offering a much-needed oasis of calm and tranquillity.
