UZIN sponsors Carpet Fitter of the Year 2019
UZIN was pleased to congratulate Dan Jones for winning the Carpet Fitter of the Year 2019 organised by the NICF. The final event took place over two days at the Flooring Show in Harrogate in September 2019. The competition demonstrated the skills and expertise of the six finalists who had to stretch fit a carpet which had a pillar in the middle and produce a hand stitch bullnose step. After a tough and close competition Dan Jones was announced as the winner. Dan has worked for the family business Peter Jones Carpets and Beds, in Wellington, Telford since 1989 and has been a NICF master fitter since 1991.
UZIN was delighted in sponsoring the event and donating Dan Jones with some Wolff carpet fitting tools as a prize. Daniel Leeson, UZIN Marketing Manager presented Dan with the tools and congratulated on winning the award. Daniel said “Carpet fitting requires an incredible amount of skill, it was inspiring to see all the competitors showcasing their craftsmanship. The competition seems to get harder each year. Congratulation to all the finalist and especially Dan who did a tremendous job.”
