TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION FOR THE COMPETITION

1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION

These terms and conditions of participation apply to the competition organised by Uzin Utz UK Ltd. By participating in the competition, each participant accepts these conditions of participation.

2. ORGANISER OF THE COMPETITION

The competition is organised by Uzin Utz UK Ltd., Unit 2, Mitchell Court, Rugby, CV23 0UY, UK.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Persons who have reached the age of 18 and are resident in the UK and Ireland are eligible to participate. Participation is free of charge and in no way dependent on the purchase of goods or the use of services.

4. COURSE OF THE COMPETITION

The competition will run from 01.05.2023 until 31.05.23. To participate in the contest, the participant must answer the question correctly. Participation is only possible within the entry period. Responses received after the closing date will be disregarded.

5. PRIZES, DETERMINATION AND TRANSFER OF PRIZES

Two winners will be picked at random each week in May 2023. The prize is a UZIN deckchair. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be paid out in cash. Claims against Uzin Utz UK Ltd for material defects or defects of the title of a prize are excluded.

The winners will be drawn at random. The winners will be notified on social media and must then send on their contact address and telephone number. Each participant notified in this way is obliged to inform Uzin Utz UK Ltd within two weeks of the notification being sent whether he or she accepts the prize. If no such notification is received by Uzin Utz UK Ltd within this period, Uzin Utz UK Ltd reserves the right to randomly select another participant and to notify them accordingly. Upon submission for dispatch, the risk of loss of the item shall pass to the winner.

6. DATA PROTECTION

For the purpose of conducting the competition, Uzin Utz UK Ltd will process the first name, surname, e-mail address, clothing size of the participants as well as the form of address, if provided voluntarily. The personal data collected as part of the competition will be stored, processed and used exclusively for the purpose of carrying out and managing the competition.

We are permitted to do this under the Data Protection Act 2018 because we have a legitimate interest in recognising multiple entries and attempts at fraud, as well as in identifying a contact person to contact for the prize distribution.  During processing, the data will be passed on to the employees entrusted with the organisation of the prize draw, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose. The data will not be passed on to third parties. Once the competition has been completed, the personal data will be deleted.

As data subjects, the participants are entitled to the rights set out the Data Protection Act 2018, please also see https://uk.uzin.com/data-protection-policy for our data protection policy.   In particular the right to information, deletion, correction, restriction of processing and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. For revocation and/or deletion, an informal message by e-mail to: uk(at)uzin-utz.com is sufficient. If the request to delete data is made before the end of the competition, further participation in the competition is no longer possible.

6.2 Data subject rights

The competition is governed by the Data Protection Act 2018. We base the processing of personal data on a balance of interests, you may object to the processing of personal information. The objection must be complied with in whole or in part if there are valid reasons which prevent further processing. Please inform us of these reasons when you lodge your objection. We will then examine the situation and either discontinue or adapt the processing or inform you of the weighty reasons for continuing the processing.

6.3 Legal basis and purpose of collection and processing

Personal data provided to Uzin Utz UK Ltd as part of the competition will be stored, processed and used by Uzin Utz UK Ltd exclusively for the purpose of carrying out and processing the competition. We are permitted to do this because we have a legitimate interest in recognising multiple entries and attempts at fraud. Furthermore, without address data, it is not possible to contact the winners or send the prize.

6.4 Type of personal data

In order to carry out the competition, Uzin Utz UK Ltd will process certain personal data from you, such as your first name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address or date of birth. The personal data collected and processed from you can be found on the competition form.

6.5 Recipients of personal data

During processing, the data will be passed on to the employees entrusted with the organisation of the competition, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose. The data will not be passed on to third parties.

6.6 Duration of storage / deletion

The personal data will be deleted after the competition has been completed. If you exercise your right to deletion and the request to delete data is made before the end of the competition, further participation in the competition is no longer possible.

7. FINAL PROVISIONS

Uzin Utz UK Ltd reserves the right to unilaterally amend these conditions of participation for good cause or to terminate the competition prematurely. This applies in particular if proper implementation cannot be guaranteed for technical or legal reasons, in the event of mass abuse of the promotion or subsequent legal inadmissibility due to a change in the legal situation.

Legal recourse is excluded. UK law shall apply.
