Looking for quick and cost effective installation over flooring grade chipboard then UZIN have the answer! With UZIN RR 620 underlay and UZIN KE 2000 S pressure sensitive adhesive floor coverings can be installed quickly and easily. Plus UZIN RR 620 helps improves underfoot comfort and acoustic reduction on poorly insulated surfaces. It is also self-adhesive so once installed is ready to receive the floor covering.

Quick, easy and cost effective LVT installation over chipboard

Only P4 – P7 chipboard should be used for flooring installations. Ensure the chipboard is securely screw fixed, sound, free from cracks, clean and free from materials which would impair adhesion. Thoroughly vacuum to remove dust. In some instances the chipboard may also need to be primed with a neat coat of UZIN PE 260, please see the UZIN RR 620 data sheet for more information.

Lay out the rolls of UZIN RR 620 underlay parallel to the intended direction of the floor covering with the adhesive side face down. Cut to size before adhering. Keep a several millimetre gap between all vertical structures such as walls. Peel off the protective film then adhere to the chipboard. Once installed roll over the whole area with a pressure roller.

Choose a suitable adhesive for installing the floor covering such as UZIN KE 2000 S pressure sensitive adhesive for LVT. Apply evenly onto the underlay using an A2 notched trowel. When the LVT has been installed, rub over the whole area with a pressure roller.
